These Terms of Service explain how this website and my services can be used. They are here to keep expectations clear, protect both sides, and make sure every project starts with a shared understanding of the process, responsibilities, and limitations.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
2. Definitions
"Site" means this website, nathanedwards.me, and everything on it: the design, the writing, the case studies, and the code. "Services" means the product, UX/UI, and web design services described on this Site. "Content" means any text, image, video, or other material that appears on the Site. "Inquiry" means any information you submit through the contact form or by emailing me directly.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, to use this Site. By using it, you're confirming that you meet that requirement.
4. About This Site and These Services
This Site is my personal portfolio. It exists to show my design work and background, and to make it easy to reach me about contract work, freelance projects, or full-time roles. Nothing on this Site is a job offer, a contract offer, or a guarantee of work, and browsing the Site doesn't create any working relationship between us.
5. Engagement Terms
Any actual paid work, whether a contract project, a freelance engagement, or ongoing work, is governed by its own signed agreement between us, not by this page. If anything on this Site ever conflicts with a signed agreement, the signed agreement controls.
6. Acceptable Use
When you use this Site, you agree not to copy, scrape, or republish its content without permission, use it for anything illegal or that violates someone else's rights, attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to it or its underlying systems, or introduce malware, bots, or anything else designed to interfere with how it runs. I can restrict or block access for anyone who violates this.
7. Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking Technologies
This Site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it: which pages get read, how people arrive, and generally what's working. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect this information. I don't use this data to identify you personally, and I don't sell it.

8. Information You Submit
If you fill out the contact form or email me directly, I use that information to respond to your Inquiry, nothing else. I don't sell or rent it to anyone. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture of what's collected and how it's handled.
9. Third-Party Links and Integrations
This Site may link out to other websites, including client sites, tools I use, or social profiles, that I don't control. I'm not responsible for their content, their terms, or their privacy practices. Visiting a linked site is between you and that site.
10. Intellectual Property
Everything on this Site, the design, the writing, the case study content, the code, is mine unless explicitly credited otherwise, and none of it is to be copied, reproduced, or reused without my permission. Client logos, names, and project details shown in case studies are used with permission and remain the property of their respective owners.
Ownership of any work product from an actual paid engagement, designs, files, code, deliverables, is defined in that engagement's signed agreement, not on this page.
11. Feedback
If you send me suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Site, I'm free to use them without any obligation or compensation to you.
12. Security
I take reasonable steps to keep this Site running safely, but no website is completely secure, and I can't guarantee the Site will always be available, error-free, or free of anything harmful introduced by a third party.
13. No Guarantee of Results
Past projects and results shown on this Site are real, but they're not a promise of similar results for any future project, contract, or role. Every engagement is different.
14. Disclaimers
This Site and its content are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I'm not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this Site, even if I've been advised of the possibility of those damages.
16. Indemnification
You agree to hold me harmless from any claim, damage, or expense arising from your misuse of this Site or your violation of these Terms.
17. Suspension of Access
I can restrict, suspend, or block access to this Site for anyone I reasonably believe is misusing it or violating these Terms.
18. Changes to These Terms
I may update these Terms as the Site or my services change. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the current version.
19. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
20. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest still stands.
21. Entire Agreement
These Terms, along with the Privacy Policy, make up the entire agreement between us regarding use of this Site. They don't replace or override any separate signed agreement covering actual paid work.
