EZ Tax has been in business for 20 years, but their previous website, built over a decade ago, never actually launched. After a rough patch that strained trust with existing clients, the goal wasn't just a modern site. It was proving to those clients that EZ Tax was serious again.
EZ Tax has been serving clients for 20 years, but the site they had before this project was built over a decade ago and never made it live. The business had also been through a rough stretch with clients, so this project needed to do more than modernize the look.
I restructured the homepage and services page around real client scenarios, personal, business, contractor, instead of tax jargon, and built out their first Google Business Profile in the company's 20 years. Clients and staff have both responded well to the new site, and it's already helping repair relationships that had gotten strained.
Challenge
Make a 20-year-old business look and feel trustworthy again after a rough patch with its own clients.
EZ Tax wasn't starting from zero. They had two decades of real client relationships behind them, but a strained stretch with their existing client base meant the site couldn't just look modern. It had to actively rebuild confidence. On top of that, their previous website had been sitting unfinished and unlaunched for over ten years, so there was no existing digital presence doing any of that work already.
Solution
Redesigned the site and brand to read as established and serious, built EZ Tax's first Google Business Profile in 20 years, and set up the local SEO foundation underneath it.

The services page sorts visitors by scenario, personal, business, contractor, instead of leading with jargon, so it's easier to use and immediately signals that EZ Tax is paying attention to its clients. Alongside the site, I set up and optimized their Google Business Profile, the first one EZ Tax has had in 20 years, and laid the local SEO foundation underneath it. Both clients and staff have responded well to the new site since it went live.
Result
Client and staff response has been strong, and EZ Tax is now looking at opening a second location.
